In The Begining
John 1:1,3: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...
All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
Gen 1:2: And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen 1:6: And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Gen 1:7: And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
Gen 1:9: And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Gen 1:10: And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
2 Peter 3:5: For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
These scriptures describe a process by which God first made all astrological objects as bodies of water (the earth, sun, moon, stars, et al) with all the physical properties of water and mass (e.g., molecular structure [H2O], gravity, orbits, magnetospheres, etc.), then he created the solid matters and associated elements (dry land). So God in six days, the first week in time, created the earth within a solar system, within a galaxy, within a universe.
After some time, Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden for their sin of disobedience. They ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, even after God specifically warned them not to and warned them of the consequences of doing so. This act of disobedience was inspired by the devil, Lucifer, a former angel banished from heaven for his pride, who manifested as a snake in the garden. It is apparent that there was more interface between the spiritual realm and the earthly realm at that time than that of the present day. God walked on the earth in those days, appearing to men, and so did other spiritual beings1.
God’s plan for redemption is revealed at this time, the first prophecy of the coming of Christ 4,000 years before His time.
Gen 3:15: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Gen 3:16: Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Gen 3:17: And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;1.
Man was put out of the garden (paradise) and began to populate the earth. The first two men born into the world after the fall of man were Cain and Abel. After about 130 years and 4 generations, Adam, Eve, and their children had been populating the region.
The evidence in ancient writings are quite conclusive in regard to the manifestation of spiritual entities. God himself manifested in a pre-incarnate physical person and walked and talked with the righteous descendants of Adam and those who called upon his name. To the same degree, the angels, both good and bad, were allowed to manifest as incarnate physical persons. Men worshipped some of the fallen angels as gods. These “gods” were feared because of the great exploits they were allowed to perform in those days, appearing as extraordinary miracles
Biblical reference to Pre-Flood Interfacing with God, other spiritual beings and man;
Gen 2:16: And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Gen 2:17: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Gen 3:1: Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Gen 4:6: And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
Gen 4:7: If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Gen 5:22: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
Gen 5:24: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Gen 6:2: That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Gen 6:4: There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Gen 6:13: And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth 1.
The Gods of the Ancient world
The gods of old, myths or legends forged in the fires that tried the ancient world? It would be doubtful that they were myths for all the cultures in the world to adapt such similar stories for their histories based on what would have originated from the contrived story of one individual. There is no precedent for such phenomena in all of history, to choose to believe they are myths identical in all aspects is a leap of faith in and of itself. The Bible tells us of their origins, which puts it at a genesis before any other account of any other culture (Sumer, Egypt, China, etc.). The king’s lists and other extraneous ancient scripts infer that the gods of Sumer and Egypt may have come from outer space, maybe even from planetary dominions. These gods introduced astrological happenstance to events and based much of the cause of natural occurrences to the stars 12. But the truth behind the deception perpetrated by the so called "gods" is that they were fallen angels who were allowed to have dominion in the earth for a while to deceive and test the nations. This time period in His Story was allowed by God so that man could become acquainted with his base nature and the terrifying side of the spiritual world apart from God’s rule, authority, and empowerment. The base nature of man, when he chooses to live apart from God, is without restraint and subject to all the natural and spiritual forces that exist in the world. Powerless alone to do good, man will follow the evil in his heart to his own destruction. The results revealed that the heart of man is basically evil and will choose corruption and vice over virtue to the point to where God, being just and patient, had to eventually put an end to the violence and corruption by means of a cleansing flood.
The Bible tells us in Col 1:16, “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.”
Job 38:1-7 1 Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm. He said: 2 “Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? 3 Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me. 4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. 5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? 6 On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone— 7 while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?
Jesus confirmed the two realms of co-existence, the earthly and spiritual.
John 3:5-13 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, how can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, we speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
John 3:31: He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
The beings (Angels) found in the spiritual realm
Rev 5:11-12 11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”
The Origins of the Ancient Gods
Eze 28:13-19 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. 19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
Isaiah 14:12-14 12 How you have fallen from heaven, oh Lucifer, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! 13 You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. 14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”
Rev 12:3-4: 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Rev 12:7-9 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
2Thes 2:9-10 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, 10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
Satan first reared his ugly head in the Garden of Eden to deceive Adam and Eve into sinning against God with the ultimate goal of stealing the praise and worship of God for himself.
